A guided tour underground in central Karlskrona. We will visit some interesting underground facilities from WW2 and the Cold War. One installation that we shall visit is a civilian bomb shelter from 1959, 30 meters below the streets with a capacity to house 6000 people and stand against a nuclear attack.
Visit the railway tunnel from 1887 under the square. See a civilian bomb shelter from WW2. Experience an enormous shelter built in 1959, dimensioned for 6000 civilians located deep down under the bedrock.
Starting location: In front of the City Hall, west part of the Great Square.
