Lecture about garden plants from various plants
"Plants that have contributed to new garden ideals" is a subject where the focus is on the cultivation of older plants and the production of today's modern assortment of plants.
Based on examples from older and contemporary gardens, we get an insight into how their design has been guided by the plants that were available at different times.
What needs have guided the development towards our current plant range?
How old are our so-called old-fashioned plants?
The lecturer Eva Gustavsson has a background as a teacher at the horticultural education at SLU Alnarp and has contributed to several well-known books, including Perennboken and the recently published three-volume Svensk Trädgårdshistoria, which deals with our domestic gardens from prehistory to the present.
The organizer is Sällskapet trädgårdsamatörernas Blekingekrets and Studieförbundet Vuxenskolan, which together usually stand for one public gardening lecture per year, last year in Ronneby with a different lecturer.
Price: 70SEK
