Performance - Four Weddings and a Stroke

With over 50 million listens on Spotify, Lars Lindquist is most renowned as a songwriter and singer in the band Billie the Vision & the Dancers and in his solo project Bräkne-Hoby. Over the years, he has increasingly experimented with his banter.

Lars Lindquist received a call from a famous person. He and his girlfriend wanted him to marry them. But Lars had recently suffered a stroke.

His balance was poor, he slurred his speech, and he slept three times a day. So Lars replied, "Of course I'll marry you!" The couple said, "We like what you do, so you can speak freely for five, ten minutes - about love or whatever you want." Lars replied, "That will be fine," but he thought, "I will need 20-25 minutes." In the end, the wedding speech turned into a full comedy show. One could also say that it turned into a tale about Lars' journey back to the stage. Regardless, the wedding and humor meant a lot to Lars.

"Four Weddings and a Stroke" originated from this and is his first performance without music.
