The Collectors is a tense psychological drama based on a true story about two brothers who shut all doors to the outside world. They decide never to go out again as a reaction to the fact that the world is simply too difficult to live in. A highly relevant, beautiful, and tragic story, based on the Collyer brothers and their fate. For 38 years, the brothers Homer and Langley lived completely isolated from the outside world in their apartment. In 1947, they were found dead among 180 tons of debris. In Lotta Lotass' hands, the eccentric brothers' isolation and obsession have come to represent universal human issues of loneliness, belonging, love, and longing. The play is told in two acts: the first day in the house and the last.
The Collectors explores the human need to escape from an increasingly complex and dark reality. When we can't cope with the constant flow of misery from the world around us, it's easier to lock ourselves in or bury our heads in the sand. We all flee in different ways—TV series, audiobooks, marathon running, or self-medication. As escapist behavior increases, rationality suffers. This is a thriller about the desire to shut oneself in as a protection against the vast and uncertain world. With its beautiful poetic language, this play has become more and more relevant with each passing year.

Admission: Adult 200 SEK, with theater pass 150 SEK, youth up to 25 years 100 SEK, with theater pass 50 SEK.
