The day's Host
Once again this year, Aspö’s very own Johan Wester will guide us through the day and round it off with the ever-popular “Sing Along with Wester & Friends.” Johan became a household name across Sweden as one of the creators and stars behind the hit comedy series HippHipp, which attracted millions of viewers on Swedish Television.

Aspö Market
Passionate local enthusiasts, artists, and community organizations offer everything from raffle tickets to handcrafted woodwork, ceramics, jewelry, knitted goods, nautical markers, honey, traditional cheesecake, and much more. Come and explore!
Aspö Food Market
Local associations serve up delicious food including fried herring, kroppkakor (traditional Swedish potato dumplings), grilled sausages, coffee, waffles, and homemade baked treats—all enjoyed in the charming surroundings of the archipelago.
The Aspö Stage
Entertainment, inspiration, competitions, quizzes, interviews, traditional folk dancing, and sing-alongs throughout the day.
Aspö Flea Market
The archipelago’s most beautiful flea market stretches along the entire Lökanabben harbour promenade. Come and browse, buy—or sell! (No advance registration required; just bring your own table or blanket.)
Experience Square
Fun activities, competitions, and hands-on experiences for the whole family. Meet a live street artist creating artwork on site, disc golf instructors, a UNESCO World Heritage guide, the Swedish Sea Rescue Society, and many more.
Aspö Run
The archipelago’s most scenic fun run for the whole family, organized by Drottningskär Sports Association.

HOW TO GET TO ASPÖ
Getting here:
Leave the car at home and take the free ferry from Handelshamnen in Karlskrona. Ferry departures to Aspö are available at aspofarjan.se. Suggested departures are 11:30, 12:00, 12:30, or 13:30. From the ferry, the charming Archipelago Train will take you to and from the festival area free of charge. If you prefer to walk, it’s just a pleasant 15-minute stroll from the ferry terminal to the festival grounds. A drop-off zone and a very limited number of accessible parking spaces are available close to the venue for those who need them.
5 TIPS FOR THE PERFECT DAY ON ASPÖ
Arrive early!
You won’t want to miss the wonderful opening ceremony at 12:30 PM. Together with Johan Wester and some of the island’s dedicated volunteers, the day begins with warmth, music, and community spirit. The ferry is often busy, so be sure to allow plenty of time.
Come hungry, and ready to shop!
Local associations are serving fantastic food, while the market is filled with creative and inspiring exhibitors offering unique local products.
Don’t forget your swimsuit!
A refreshing swim awaits, and if you happen to forget your swimwear, you might just find something suitable at the flea market!
Pack an open mind, a sun hat, and sunscreen!
The day is packed with running, quizzes, sing-alongs, and more often than not plenty of sunshine.
Plan to stay all day!
A cloakroom is available for your belongings, and when Aspö Day comes to an end, the festivities continue into the evening with entertainment at the beautiful Kastellet.
