Always on display in our collections storage
Here you will encounter carts from estates and farms, medieval church objects, and the museum’s large collection of traditional wooden boats. You can also see the spectacular figurehead from the Danish royal ship Gribshunden, which sank outside Ronneby in 1495, as well as “gold figures” from Iron Age Västra Vång. Among the objects are also clear examples of Blekinge’s cultural heritage, such as wall hangings, three-legged stools, and traditional Christmas decorations. Some items are unique objects, others are everyday things you may even have at home or may have seen at your grandparents’ house.
