Brandkommissarie Nordenhielms Celebrates 40 Years – Live in the Living Room

There are bands that play music, and then there are bands that are part of the soul of the people.

On May 1–2, Live in the Living Room transforms into a mini festival as the local legends of Brandkommissarie Nordenhielms Blues Orchestra reunite. It’s time to celebrate 40 years of groove, friendship, and memories embedded in the walls.

Some evenings are about more than just the music. They’re about finding your way home. When “the Commissioner” takes the stage, it’s not just a concert — it’s like a family gathering where the audience and the band are old friends.

Expect a night where the roof lifts with pure joy of playing, and where the space between songs is filled with 40 years of shared anecdotes. This is storytelling on a whole new level — about gigs that went off the rails, journeys that never seemed to end, and friendships that have survived it all.

But in the midst of the celebration, there will also be moments to pause. The evenings will be a heartfelt tribute to our dear friend and one of the band’s four founders, Per “Pelle Hopplös” Gunaropulos, who recently passed away. He helped set the tone when it all began, and without him, this journey would never have happened. His guitar has fallen silent here with us, but surely he’s now playing his solos alongside the greatest idols elsewhere. The band performs for Pelle, with Pelle in their hearts.

This will be infinitely beautiful, irresistibly groovy, and guaranteed to be emotional. A tribute to the music that brings us together.

It is not permitted to bring jackets into the concert venue. A supervised and free cloakroom is available on the way into The Pot. Please follow the signs on the street.

Doors open at 19:00 and the concert starts at 19:30.

Ticket price: 395 SEK

Welcome to a weekend of nostalgia and blues.
