Cider race 2026
Kind of like a wine marathon, but 5 km of cider in Ramdala!
Welcome to a truly special race that winds its way through organic vegetable farms, past 21,000 apple trees, through stunning natural landscapes, with plenty of music and cider bars. We call it the Cider Run—a race where you run through our apple orchards to sample the ciders we’ve made from the apples.
At the finish line, which is in our farmyard, a sweaty celebration begins: an after-party, an “after-run.”
Everyone who has run will be served a delicious meal featuring produce from the fields you’ve just passed, and our bars will be wide open with fantastic drinks. Dinner later turns into a party with live music. The band takes the stage, and dancing has long been known as the world’s best cool-down.
So come on down—form a team with friends, half your phone book, or your work crew, however you like. Your audience is welcome to join the after-party, order food, and buy drinks from the bars. In short, a community celebration of the finest kind.
To participate, you must be at least 18 years old, as alcoholic beverages will be served during the race.
Entry fee:
750 SEK (non-student)
640 SEK (students)
The entry fee includes:
* A scenic 5 km race
* 6 cider tastings (4.5% ABV or 6% ABV) or non-alcoholic cider
* A medal
* Food we’ve prepared ourselves, mostly using our own ingredients
* A lively after-party with a live band
The race:
The race starts at 6:00 PM on August 22 from Karlskrona Musteri (Berntorp 114, 373 53 Ramdala)
The course is 5 km long and the terrain includes gravel roads, fields, and our apple orchards. It ranges from uneven to very uneven.
Transportation and Parking:
Please carpool to our location; parking is available in designated spots. Bus 2 toward Jämjö, at the “Sturkövägen” stop, is the closest to us—about a 20-minute walk.
Race Number and Bags:
You can pick up your race number either at our restaurant on August 21 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, or on August 22 from 4:00 PM to 5:15 PM.
Since the event has an 18-year-old age limit, you must be prepared to show ID if you are under 25 years of age. There’s a place to drop off your bag at the race number pickup area.
Dinner
Dinner is included in the entry fee. It will be served at the after-party, and you’ll pick up your meal by presenting your race number. Please indicate any allergies or dietary preferences when you purchase your ticket.
Showers
We do not offer any shower facilities. The dress code for the after-run party is “sweaty workout clothes.” If the sun is shining brightly, we’ll set up a water station at the end of the race.
What the heck do you win?
We love to compete, and we have three different categories you can compete in. Of course, the first person to cross the finish line gets a prize. Anyone who correctly guesses which ingredient we used to flavor the cider at the fifth tasting station can win a prize. The final contest is about music. Along the race route, there’s plenty of fantastic live music, and once you cross the finish line, you can answer questions based on what you’ve heard and seen.

Students affiliated with Westudent receive a 20% discount on the price, though this does not apply to the tasting, which is included. Students booking through Westudent, please show your student ID when picking up your race bib.
