During Easter week, Karlskrona transforms into part of Sweden’s largest digital Easter egg hunt. QR codes are hidden throughout Trossö – and this year, five physical Golden Eggs will also be placed in secret locations around the area. At the same time, every scan contributes to Save the Children’s work for a safer digital environment for children and young people.
On April 1, Consid Easter Egg Hunt 2026 begins. A total of 26 locations across the country are participating – and Karlskrona is one of them. Through a web app, participants receive clues leading to QR codes placed at various spots around Trossö. Each code earns points on a national leaderboard.
But this year’s edition also includes a physical hunt.
Five Golden Eggs hidden on Trossö
As a new feature for this year, Consid has placed five physical Golden Eggs in each participating location – including Karlskrona. In Karlskrona, the eggs will be hidden in secret spots around Trossö and contain exclusive prizes. Whoever finds an egg wins it and its contents immediately.
“We wanted to create something that engages people locally while encouraging them to discover their city in a new way. Karlskrona and Trossö are fantastic settings for an activity like this, and it’s really exciting to bring the city to life during Easter week,” says Therese Erikson, Regional Manager at Consid.
The competition runs around the clock from April 1 to April 6, and participants can join at any time during the week.
National competition – local hunt
Participants in Karlskrona compete on a national leaderboard for a total prize pool of SEK 10,000:
1st prize: Gift card for tech products worth SEK 5,000
2nd prize: Gift card for tech products worth SEK 2,500
3rd–5th prize: Gift cards for tech products worth SEK 500
Golden Egg prizes: Gift cards worth SEK 1,000 plus a leaderboard boost
Every scan supports Save the Children
For every QR code scanned during the hunt, Consid donates SEK 1 to Save the Children’s initiative for a safer and more inclusive gaming environment.
“Gaming is a natural part of many children’s and young people’s lives. As a tech company, we see a responsibility to help ensure that the digital environment is safe and positive. Through the Easter Egg Hunt, we can combine playful competition with social impact,” says Therese Erikson.
