Exhibition "Karlskrona - a place worth defending"
Right next to the statue of Charles XI on Stortorget in Karlskrona, you can now learn more about some of the places that have had, and in several cases still have, an important role for Karlskrona and Sweden's defense.
The exhibition shows eleven locations around Karlskrona. Some of these are highly active while others are hidden secrets.
Visitors can read about well-known buildings such Kungsholms fortress, Drottningskärs citadel and gunpowder house on Mjölnarholmen and Ljungskär.
But also about lesser-known locations.
Via a large map on the ground you can see where the different locations are and via QR codes those who want to know more can move on to virtual experiences and more information.
The exhibition runs until 25 July 2025.
