In the footsteps of the bronze age people

Surrounded by the evocative rock carvings at Hästhallen in Möckleryd, nature and culture guide Sofia Jentzsch offers an introduction to the Bronze Age in Southern Scandinavia through the four elements: air, fire, earth, and water. What might the people of that time have thought about the world when they looked up at the sky? How did they harness the power of fire? How did they cultivate the land? And what did the rivers and seas mean to them?

This guided tour is tailored for children and young people.

Participants will learn about the Bronze Age people who left such fascinating traces behind, hear archaeological theories about the images on the rock, touch replicas of artifacts, and see what their clothing might have looked like.

After the guided tour and a look at the rock carvings, the tour concludes with a snack break and a Q&A session. Please bring your own snacks and dress for the weather.

Meet at the Hästhallen parking lot; the tour then proceeds through the forest toward the rock carvings.
