The Junior World Orienteering Championships
The Junior World Orienteering Championships (JWOC) will be held in Karlskrona from June 29 to July 4, 2026. The event will bring together the world’s best junior orienteers to compete for medals in several categories, including sprint, sprint relay, middle distance, long distance, and relay.
It is now official where the arenas for JWOC 2026 will be:
Sprint – Stortorget, Karlskrona
Sprint Relay – Stortorget, Karlskrona
Long Distance – Augerum
Middle Distance – Bussevik
Relay – Bussevik
Three different locations with three distinct types of terrain.
The event is organized in collaboration between Svensk Orientering Events, OK Orion, and the City of Karlskrona, and offers both challenging orienteering terrain and a spectator-friendly experience close to the unique surroundings of this UNESCO city. The goal is to create a memorable week featuring high-level international competition and ample opportunities for both participants and spectators to experience world-class orienteering.
