Lecture: How physical activity affects your brain
Lecturer Tomas Deierborg, brain researcher and head of the Laboratory for Experimental Neuroinflammation at Lund University, lectures on how physical activity affects your brain.
The lecture takes participants on a journey through history and human evolution to shed light on how physical activity has shaped our brain and mental health. They explore what happens in the brain when we move – from molecular changes to long-term effects on brain health, dementia risk and mental illness – in both women and men. Through inspiring and accessible examples, the lecture shows how an active lifestyle can deeply affect the brain. It is aimed at anyone who is curious about the connection between movement and good brain health.
