Piano Bar with Svenne & Tessan
On Friday, October 16, it’s an all-Karlskrona lineup at the piano, as two true local legends take the stage at PopUp.
Tessan Knutsson, born Andersson, is one of Karlskrona’s most beloved voices. She comes from the legendary Andersson musical family in the eastern parts of the municipality, where both her father and grandfather, Dane Andersson, played in the dance band Danes. Music has been a part of her life from the very beginning, and over the years she has sung with a wide range of bands and musical ensembles.
At the piano is Sven-Gunnar “Svenne” Petersson, Tommy Nilsson’s pianist and bandleader for more than 25 years. Here in Karlskrona, he is also well known as the bandleader behind the city’s New Year’s revues, a role he took on at just 21 years old.
The duo normally performs on stage with a full band. Now, we finally get to experience them in a more intimate setting, with just voice and piano. Expect beloved classics, warmth and plenty of sing-along moments. Live music starts between 6 and 7 PM.
