Samuel Ljungblahd & Bodekull Gospel & Jazz Orchestra
Songs of Freedom and Hope at the Pentecostal Church in Karlskrona, Saturday, October 31, at 6:00 p.m.
Songs of Freedom and Hope brings together one of Sweden’s most expressive soul artists, Samuel Ljungblahd, with the Bodekull Gospel & Jazz Orchestra, conducted by Christoffer Wallin.
With his powerful stage presence and hailed as Sweden’s king of soul and gospel, Samuel Ljungblahd has moved audiences across Scandinavia and made an impact far beyond the world of gospel through his TV appearances, major tours, and highly acclaimed performances at the royal wedding in 2015.
The Bodekull Gospel & Jazz Orchestra is a 30-piece ensemble known for its unique sound, where the elegance of jazz meets the passion of gospel and the depth of soul—an orchestra that for many years has created concert experiences filled with energy, warmth, and musical power.
With music from legends such as Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, Donny Hathaway, and PJ Morton, along with Samuel Ljungblahd’s own newly written music, stories of struggle, resistance, and human dignity are brought to life.
This is more than a concert—it is an evening where the power of music takes center stage. An evening filled with soul, gospel, swing, and messages that touch, uplift, and inspire.
The tour is organized in collaboration with Erikshjälpen, as the artist, orchestra, and organizer all want the evening to mean something more for vulnerable children and their families. Erikshjälpen will be on site during the evening to share information about their important work.
