Stories from a bone - lecture
What can a bone really tell us? Hanna Sjöberg from Blekinge Museum explains how studying skeletons can get us really close to the people who lived long ago, how they lived, worked and interacted with animals and their surroundings.
In this lecture, you will be taken into the world of osteology in a light and engaging way. Using bone fragments and skeletal parts, it is shown how researchers can piece together stories about everyday life, health, living conditions and the relationship between humans and animals throughout history. A bone can hold an unexpectedly large number of stories, you just have to know how to listen.
