What is group gymnastics?
Group gymnastics is a team sport with men’s, women’s and mixed categories. The competition comprises three disciplines: floor exercise, tumbling and trampette. Group gymnastics is characterised by speed, strength, high-level acrobatics and teamwork amongst the 8–12 gymnasts that make up each team. Sweden ranks amongst the world’s elite in group gymnastics, and the competitions often attract a large and enthusiastic audience.
