Vernissage - Condemned, Hidden, and Forgotten
Join us for the opening reception on Thursday, October 15, at 7:00 p.m. at Trefaldighetskyrkan on Stortorget. The exhibition *Condemned, Hidden, and Forgotten* highlights women’s and girls’ inherent right to their own bodies and their very existence.
A collaboration between Kvinnojouren and photographer Maria Lindberg.
Maria is an award-winning photographer with a unique ability to capture the authenticity and power of her subjects. Among other accolades, she was crowned Swedish Champion and awarded a gold medal at the 2024 Swedish Photography Championships in the maternity photography category.
“This photography project highlights women’s and girls’ right to their own bodies, to live a free life, to exist as they choose, and to take their place in the world. Through powerful and beautiful images that tell important stories, I want to evoke emotions and spark reflection. I also aim to raise awareness about these issues and inspire change.”
