Vinyl & Club with Måns Mernsten
Vinyl & Club at PopUp every Saturday at Fisktorget, right in the heart of Karlskrona!
This evening, a true Swedish touring legend takes over the turntables at PopUp. Måns Mernsten is a keyboardist, songwriter and one of the founding members of the Lund-based band Damn!, who have been Timbuktu’s band both on record and on stage since 2002. Together, they have toured from Cape Town to Svalbard and won a Swedish Grammy for Full Ära.
Damn! have also created music for Sex and the City and served as the house band when Cabaret was staged at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm. But it all started at a dance club where vinyl records were mixed with congas and horns. Now Måns is bringing those records to Karlskrona. Expect soul, funk, afrobeat and boogie - music that makes it impossible to stand still.
