Join us on a journey around the entire Tromtö Peninsula and experience how nature changes with every step. From the cool beech forest to open oak pastures and the sea that’s always by our side, a hike full of experiences awaits. We begin beneath the green canopy of beech trees, where the forest offers coolness and tranquility. Along the coast, we encounter gnarled beech trees shaped by wind and salt spray, before continuing through the majestic “hall of pillars” with its tall, straight trunks. Everywhere, the forest tells its own story. Standing and fallen deadwood provides a home for fungi, insects, and birds, while young beech trees grow up in the shade of the old trees. As the landscape opens up, bright oak pastures await, with grazing sheep and mighty oaks that have stood here for hundreds of years. We continue our hike through the hardwood forest and the old clay pits before the tour comes to an end. The sea is ever-present. Perhaps we’ll hear the cries of cranes across the bays, a great spotted woodpecker drumming among the trunks, or see dragonflies glistening in the sun.
