In War and Love - Theatre
Anna Pettersson, artistic director of Strindberg's Intima Teater, will come in the fall of 2026 to direct In War and Love, which is the classic commission that the Regional Theatre has given her. Anna has chosen to make her own adaptation of Aristophanes' comedy Lysistrata, with elements of Euripides' tragedy The Trojan Women.

Lysistrata is about how the Athenian women go on a sex and love strike to end the war between Athens and the rest of the Hellenic world. But since we are in a time of current wars and conflicts, Anna did not want to settle for a comedy about war, but also balances it with the tragedy of The Trojan Women.
The play takes place in Troy after the Greeks have won the war and it is time to divide the spoils. A depiction of the nature of war and above all how it affects women. The performance will also feature choral singing.
