Author visit with Karolina Ramqvist
Karolina Ramqvist first attracted attention when, at the age of 21, she published letters from Ulf Lundell in the anthology ‘Fittstim’. She has since written screenplays, short stories, novels, essays and has been translated into many languages.
In a career spanning almost 30 years, Karolina has received numerous awards and honours for her contemporary literature - most recently nominated for the August Prize 2024 for ‘The First Book’, in which she returns to Jamaica, the setting of her debut novel ‘More Fire’ (2002), both about the tumultuous love of youth.
