A painting signed George Braque, submitted for auction. This was the case of the art fraudster when Detective Inspector Heléne Anderson got involved in the investigation.

Paintings signed by Oskar Kokoschka, Viktor Vasarely, Edvard Munch, and Carl Kylberg, among others, were seized during a search of the impostor's studio. The impostor turned out to have a good knowledge of art. The fake works of art had convincing provenances, and under questioning he gave detailed information about how the art came into his possession.
