Ramdala Church

Ramdala Church

The first church in Ramdala was probably built in the middle of the 13th century and is incidentally the only preserved medieval church in Eastern Blekinge.

Since the beginning of the 20th century, church researchers have counted Ramdala as a group of churches called defense churches.
They mean that in the Middle Ages the church had two towers, one in the east and one in the west. The same researcher mean that the choir and the longhouse have had another floor used in the defense service. Even today, a small thin vaulted room remains.
