Sturkö church
Sturkö church was built in 1878 on the same spot as an older church, edicated to S:t Gertrud, the patron saint of seafarers.
Mariners and sailors from all over Scandinavia and most of the Baltic provinces always left an offering when they passed by. Thrilling tales are told of the time the islanders captured the big bell from a pirate ship.
